Live in another state. Wasted so much money to come and see them. Interviewed 3x and told me they will give me the position if I come in one last time and when I did book my ticket to go see em, they cancel on me wasting my time and money.

pecqua 9 hr. ago In the future, if you inform a company that you'd need to spend $1000 just to attend their interview, you might be able to get away with doing it over the phone or online. Or at least, see if they will cover your travel expenses. Otherwise that's a big gamble Reply Share 3.6k

Nocturnal_Flower 6 hr. ago Absolutely, when it happened to me I told the HR guy that I didn't have a car at the time and he sent me a cab and made him wait until the interview was over to take me home. angiosperms- 5 hr. ago What kind of company makes you fly with your own money? Back when I wasn't working remote flight, hotel, food, etc was 100% covered if they wanted me to come out for an interview. 271 Reply Share ● pecqua 5 hr. ago I agree, I remember my dad being in that situation a few times, but that was years ago, companies sound like they're cheaping out on everything now 58 Reply Share

cjbump 10 hr. ago they wasted your time like that, but on a brighter note, at least you're not working for someone who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're". 4.8k Reply Share Sad-Alps-9593 OP 9 hr. ago Really does . Don't know how people can be so selfish & have no respect for other peoples time 1.2k Reply Share ●●●

ToastyBob27. 11 hr. ago Never pay for your own airline ticket for an interview. You setting aside the time and PTO is already enough. Reply Share 180

joopityjoop 12 hr. ago Never interview for a company that won't pay your travel expenses to get there. If the distance is long enough that you need to take a plane and they won't accommodate you, just don't interview. 27 Reply Share

Jiggzup 11 hr. ago I would never travel for an interview unless the company was paying for it. Any reputable company would cover the cost of your travel to come see them for an interview- just something to keep in mind for the future. Sorry this happened. 8 Reply Share
